How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Take 2 tbsp of melted butter and whisk it with the egg, milk, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
  • Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Soak the bread in the mixture.
  • Remove the bread from the batter, allowing the excess batter to drip off.
  • Put the bread in the skillet until golden brown on each side. (2-3 minutes each side.)
  • Remove from skillet and transfer to a baking sheet.
  • Bake in oven for about 10 minutes until crispy.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with favorite syrup.
