Corn Flake Topped French Toast with Almond Syrup

- 3 cups milk shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 Loaf French style bread shopping list
- corn flake crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 cup melted butter shopping list
- Syrup: shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare the night before by mixing all wet ingredients and soaking bread overnight.
- The next morning preheat oven to 450 and spray large jelly roll pan with cooking spray.
- Sprinkle corn flake crumbs on both sides of bread and drizzle melted butter over top.
- Bake for 12 minutes on each side then serve immediately with syrup.
- To make syrup heat sugar and water until boiling then add butter and remove from heat.
- Add extract and mix thoroughly.
