Melanies Perfect Pumpkin Bread

- 3 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 2 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1 tsp. allspice shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves shopping list
- 3 cups sugar shopping list
- 2/3 cup water shopping list
- 1 cup oil shopping list
- 5 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1 16-ounce can pure pumpkin shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Grease two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans, OR 5 mini-loaf pans, OR 1 bundt pan
- In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
- Blend in the water and oil, and mix in the eggs.
- Blend in the pumpkin, and optional pecans.
- Divide batter between pans.
- Bake at 350' for 1 hour - loaf pans (less for other pans listed) until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pans.
- Loaves freeze well.
