Soup for stress relief...

I already knew that soup is one of my major comfort foods, but this just confirms it, and I wanted it to serve as reminder to all caregivers of just how much a stress buster it is.

Here are a couple of good ones I've been making the last year.
This one reminds me of something my mom would make when I was little.

I love the potatoes in this one and always try to add extra.

My absolute favorite go to for comfort is a chicken noodle that I make up. Will be making some today as a matter of fact. I always make it different so I don't bother with writing down the recipe and posting it. I'll usually boil up a whole chicken or parts or even a carcass for broth, will add a couple/few bouillon cubes for flavor. Strain it, put back in pot to boil then add Reames frozen egg noodles (they are doughy strips not like pasta), add more chicken bouillon and salt and pepper as needed for taste. Will usually add a cream of chicken soup or milk or something like that to make the broth thick and creamy. Then I'll add the chicken back in. Sometimes if I'm feeling fancy I will add mushrooms and carrots to the boiling of the water stage till they are soft

Reames Frozen Egg Noodles kind of sounds like southern style rolled dumplings. ;-)
