While not technically a "cookbook," I have to give props to the magazine Cook's Illustrated. Cook’s Illustrated (www.cooksillustrated.com): Cook’s Illustrated does what we all wish we had the time and money to do – test every recipe changing every variable possible to get the very best it can be. With Cook’s Illustrated, you are guaranteed a recipe to please and impress and tips to make your life easier in the kitchen.

I absolutely agree! Cook\'s Illustrated is a fantastic magazine. They usually focus on seasonal recipes too! Also, you can catch America\'s Test Kitchen on PBS which is mostly the same people.

This is absolutely one of my favorite magazines. Always feel confident that the recipe will turn out well, as long as you agree with the flavor profile or style of food. (ie: chewy moist brownies instead a cakey style.)
Fine cooking is a close second.

There is no question that this magazine is really the tops in cooking know-how. I love it and its sister publication, Country Cook's Illustrated. All of the cookbooks from this company are informative and useful.

This is great line of cookbooks. Great selection of recipes and how to's. You don't have to worry about how a recipe will turn out, unless you tweak it. I also really like the explanations of how and why things work the way they do.

i wait for you to be in my mailbox after a long day of work. how it pains me when the boy gets to you first as i wait in anxiousness over what genuis recipe conclusion you've come to, after testing so many just for me! i'm rarely disappointed.
