I was led here by an outback copy cat recipe, and I've been looking for a salad dressing recipe from there for years. I was told by Outback that it is made on site, and cannot be bottled because it would change the flavor due to additives and preservatives. From what I understand it is similar to a Italian dressing, I was also told it is similar to a mustard vinaigrette. I've looked on other sites, and the other copy cat recipes I came across were just not right. If you could find it, I would be eternally grateful!! Thanks, Rachael

Is this one it, Rae760?? Hopefully!

    TARRAGON HONEY-MUSTARD DRESSING

1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
    1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
    2 tablespoons dijon-style mustard
    1 teaspoon honey
    3/4 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    salt, to taste

Combine all the ingredients, except the salt, in a small bowl and whisk until blended (or shake the ingredients in a jar). Add salt to taste.

Let stand 30 minutes or overnight to blend flavors.

And this one claims to be a list of Outbacks ingredients:

    fresh lemon juice
    dijon mustard
    balsamic vinegar
    minced garlic
    dried tarragon
    salt and pepper

    Hope this helps,

could I get a recipe for the spice blend they dust on steaks like the ones you get at say an outback or a lonestar steak house? I checked at TopSecret Recipes for one, but they wanted .79 cents for it.

It's the coriander and the turmeric that make it so appealing...

    Outback Steakhouse's Steak Seasoning Ingredients:

    2 teaspoons salt
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
    1 dash coriander
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1 dash turmeric

Mix together in a dry bowl and funnel into your favorite small spice jar. Keep in a cool dry place. Makes about 4 teaspoons of rub/spice.

    Hope you like it...

Cool, my hubby is genuflecting even as I type, lol!

See, I'm such a lousy cook, all this time I though tumeric was what you added to soups so people thought you could afford saffron. .ha,ha.

Thanks again for the quick response. I1m sure we'll love it!

Anyone love those chili cheese pups as much as I do? I'm looking for a really good hotdog chili and can't seem to find one, especially in the grocery store. I hope someone does.
