Episode 7 - spoilers, as usual

Hard to believe there are only two episodes left and, to me, it doesn't feel like anything has really happened this season! Hopefully we will be hanging on to our seats the next two weeks.
I just knew that Henry would come out OK from that crash. It would have been just too easy to kill him off. And then Mary, in typical Mary fashion, breaks up with him the same day his best bud dies. Wow. Not that I think "they belong together" like Tom does (where are you getting that, Tom?) but she can be pretty cool. Or cruel? I am wondering if she will gleefully break it to Bertie that Chrysanthemum is Edith's own kid. Frankly, Edith should have told him then and there when he proposed so not certain if she would deserve that or not...but probably not.
Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Patmore plotting against Mr. Carson seemed a little out of character for them to me, for some reason. A little bit "Three's Company" to me, if you are old enough to remember that sitcom! Although Mr. Carson falling asleep before he could get the dishes done was pretty good.
A lot of other things going on just seem to be pointing to the fact that the Downton style life is fading away (which I'm not really certain is true but just handy for the outcome) and that no one will need servants anymore and everyone needs to move on and make a life of their own. Except for poor Mr. Barrow who feels Downton is his "safe place" from the world (my take on his personality) and a place where he would like to stay. I hope it turns out that way for him.
And just who is that skulking about Mrs. Patmore's B&B?
As usual, the Dowager Countess had the best lines of the episode. All of them just purely fabulous. Her scenes made the episode enjoyable for me.

i'm not fond of Harry and i don't mind that mary broke up with him that day. he did push her. i agree edith should have told bertie about marigold but perhaps it's part of how the show will unfold. i relished the dinner mr. carson had to make under mrs. hughes direction and he deserved every minute of it and more!
i was so proud of mr. molesley getting such high grades in his tests and being asked to become a teacher!
wonder if they'll kill the dowager off while she's on her cruise or do you think they'll go for a totally happy ending? so hard to think how they'll be able to wrap it up in just 2 more shows! i did melt when the dowager left a present of a puppy for lord grantham. not one episode in the entire six seasons has gone by without me feeling warm and fuzzy seeing that dog's tail wag in the previews! :)
lol @ barrow walking in on mrs. hughes and mr. carson having a sit down in the library and asking if he could join them. i thought mr carson might die right there!

I was wondering how they could have Mr.Barrow stay.....if Mr. Carson ever retires, and what's his name is leaving to teach, and the other footman works on the farm, then Barrow is the only one left that could take over being a butler. So maybe this is just a test for Barrow to show his loyalty or something??
I was wondering why someone is taking pictures of Mrs.Patmore at her B&B, strange!
I kinda loved seeing Mr.Carson do the work for a change, lol, maybe he won't bug Mrs.Hughes so much, now that he knows how much work it is! He's too set in his ways to tell him anything, so showing him seemed to work better.
Lol, Chrysanthemum! It seems like Mary knows, so I don't know why she hasn't confronted Edith yet. Hmmm, maybe you're on to something, I hope Mary doesn't do that to poor Edith! Hopefully Edith tells him before Mary does!
Gosh, only two episodes left, they must have some more exciting things in store!
