  I am having a terrible time focusing in on anything under about 6". Would like to post close-up pictures of bread or biscuit crumb but the pics come out blurry.
  
  I know the camera is capable of shooting a quality picture down to 1", or so says the destructions.
  
  I figure digital cameras are pretty much generic in functional bells and whistles, so I'm asking for help to set up my camera so I can get some close-up pictures.
  
  Any ideas?
  
  I have a macro and super-macro mode. Can't use flash in super-macro. Have a zoom mode, doesn't work in super-macro. Have an AF and MF focus modes. I don't see any change of the picture on the LCD screen when I try to focus in the MF mode.

  I had the same problem. I found that the super-macro mode was the problem. Use the macro mode, get as close as you like and , snap! It works like a charm! Now, if I could just figure out why I cannot upload anything, I would be a happy camper!
