Is there an easy way to search for or find someones moniker with only the icon to go by?
The people page is a very slow and laborious process of sifting through the icons if one is looking for a specific icon.
The only piece of information I have is the icon to the right of a recipe after I have done a recipe search. And the persons icon is not clickable.

What are you trying to do, pso? I know when I do a recipe search and a list comes up, there is no name under the avatar of the poster but all I do is click on the recipe to see who posted it.

There are recipes that, when clicked on, only take me back to the GR main page. Would like to know the authors moniker so I can try to look up the authors main page to see if it's just a particular recipe that's blocked or the entire repertoire.

That's happened to me when I've tried to look at some of mystic_river1's recipes--->http://www.grouprecipes.com/people/mystic_river1
But I'm not blocked from their profile page, just some recipes when I've done a recipe search.......strange?

Some recipes have been deleted by the powers that be due to copyright infringement, meaning people don't give credit where credit is due and use a photograph that they did not take.
I follow quite a few recipe blogs. One morning, I read a post on one of the blogs then came here. Danged if the blog post I had just read hadn't been copied and pasted, including the photo, as a recipe here with no credit given to the blogger. The blogger complained right on the recipe and the recipe was deleted. So, it happens.
Although it looks like it may not happen anymore. Kristopher is conspicuously absent from this site.

    I see, that makes sense!
I notice a lot of people post pictures that aren't theirs. I wonder if they know how illegal that is!?
Yeah, it would be nice to know if the website is still being monitored....

I know!! Sometimes I have come across a recipe and picture that clearly has been "stolen" and I so want to post the source right on the recipe in the comments section. It is definitely illegal and instructions not to do that are somewhere on this site and have been posted by Kristopher. But, I don't. I'd sure like to, but I don't.

Yeah, I remember Kristopher writing rules about Not posting photo's unless they're your property, but recipes are fine as long as you copy the website link from the recipe source. As long as it's a recipe you've made before!
Too bad Lovebreezy isn't here, she was always good at tactfully telling people that! :)
