Where did the wonderful "Rigatoni Alla Buttera" recipe go??

  • susieinc 14 years ago
I have been making this recipe for years, but never wrote it down. Now it seems to have disappeared! I am hoping someone out there has it, or can help me figure out where it went. Thank you: and thank you to the cook who submitted the recipe...it's delicious!

Yes, I am pretty sure?! I had it bookmarked in my browser, and i always just used that bookmark to get the recipe when i needed it. But this time, it brought me to the site but said there was no recipe by that name. Odd, right? Anyway, thanks for looking, i appreciate it: hope we can find it!

    cool...can you copy/paste the link?

If you search rigatoni alla buttera on Google, the first hit that comes up is a link to GR http://www.grouprecipes.com/rigatoni-alla-buttera

with that recipe name in the bar, but this recipe as the only option... Rigatoni Alla Pippa

really odd. :) Could there have been a name change?

Same exact thing that happened to me when I tried my old link: glad I'm not entirely crazy! The Rigatoni Alla Pippa is a different recipe, but maybe I will search other rigatoni recipes and see if I can find it. Thanks for the help and suggestions!

I remember this much, I think? But I still feel like I am forgetting something, and I am not sure about the exact amount for the peas or cream. But here goes:

    1 lb sweet italian sausage
    1 lb hot italian sausage
    1 lb rigatoni
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 cup frozen peas
    2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
i large can crushed tomatoes (unseasoned)

Take the sausage out of the casings, cook, drain and crumble. In large, deep pan over medium heat, add tomatoes and cream to sausage, heat til it thickens. Add cooked rigatoni (works better if it's slightly undercooked at this point). Add peas, stir til they thaw/warm, then stir in shredded parmesan right before serving.

And if I find the original, I will re-post it! Thanks :)

That one looks pretty much identical: between the 2, we should be able to duplicate it pretty well! Thanks! :)
