Anyone remember...

  When I was a kid, my mama used to take a hotdog, slice it the full length, fill it with slices of cheese, wrap the whole thing in bacon and then bake them until the cheese was melted and the bacon was cooked. Does anyone have a recipe for this or even ever heard of it?

  I have heard of slicing the hot dog and adding the cheese as well, but not the bacon. This does sound like a good idea. I think the pre-cooked bacon that you can buy would probably work really good with this.
