My family loves Banana bars/cake so I knew they would love this one with apples added, and they did! Instead of adding everything into the bowl all at once I mixed the dry ingredients together, then added the wet. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to dice the bananas or mash? So I mashed which is what my usual recipe for banana bars call for. I used 3 bananas and 2 large granny smith apples. The cake was perfectly sweet. Oh and I made a cream cheese frosting for on top...similar recipes going on here in the IMI lol!

Those look so good, Mommyluvs2cook! I'll bet the apples and bananas make a good pairing. Who doesn't love cream cheese frosting? Just the sight of those has my sweet tooth going. YUM!

Gosh, everyone has been so busy trying new recipes that I can't keep up! Nice to see all of the activity.

Ooh, that looks scrumptious Michelle! I would never have thought to pair apples with banana's! Too funny that we both made cakes with cream cheese icing! :D

Thanks everyone!! I don't think I've ever paired apples and bananas either except maybe in a fruit salad? It was a good combo though!

Were the apples baked soft enough?
