This fell under both categories! What nice change from the usual sauteed asparagus I make :) I didn't have any cream, so I used milk instead, which I had stirred some flour into to help it thicken. I used both Kerrygold butter as well as Kerrygold white cheddar, which is Irish. I think this makes more sauce and crumble than needed in my opinion, but you could certainly use all of it and it be even more delicious lol :) End result was creamy, crunchy goodness!

Lovely photo mummyluvs2cook. I have never heard of Kerrygold products, probably not sold in Canada. You make this dish sound delicious that i might try it but with goat cheese and Natrel lactose free butter. Bookmarked:))

Yum! That looks great Michelle! I'm not a huge fan of asparagus but that looks like a good way of trying it again! (My Hubby loves asparagus! :)

I bought Kerrygold cheese too, the Dubliner--it's like a tangy sharp white cheddar. You can get it at Sobey's, Manella---they sell Kerrygold butter too, I think Superstore/Loblaws sells it in the Natural Food section. But it's all cows milk cheese and butter, not lacto-free.

Thanks everyone! I love Kerrygold products too, always have them on hand, Trader Joe's even sells them for cheap (well cheaper), and so does Sam's :)

Nice photo, Mommyluvs2cook! This looks really good! I'll bet the cheesy Dijon flavored cream sauce paired very well with the asparagus.

That's a lovely looking asparagus dish Michelle! I bookmarked it to try. Did you use all of the sauce and crumble or is that photo with only part of it?

    Thank you DIZ and Janet!

Janet, I used a little over half the sauce (saved the rest to put over eggs or something) and almost all of the crumble. The recipe may have meant for you to use all the sauce though, I really just didn't want my asparagus swimming in it, so I used a heavy drizzle :)
