California Broccoli Slaw

    From Marky90: California Broccoli Slaw

I made this for the June 2017 Recipe Challenge and it was a great make ahead recipe. We love the touch of sweet that cranberries add to broccoli salad, but I felt they would be out of place in a slaw so omitted them. It went great with our grilled burgers, but I bet you could serve it with just about any summery meal. I'd make it again and maybe add finely chopped shallot instead of just using the granulated onion for the onion flavor.

That sounds good Bakerme. The same type of sweet dressing in a broccoli salad but the ease of a bagged broccoli slaw! Good call on the chopped shallot, that would be great in this. :)

Thanks, Cosmicmom. Actually, I wish I had thought of the chopped shallot when making this because the we couldn't even taste the granulated onion, but didn't I think of it until later. Oh well...next time.

Cheryl, another thing I liked is that there was enough left for us to have with dinner tonight. I like getting more than one meal out of a recipe :)

Oh wow, this looks so easy, and I know a few people who would love that 5 ingredient list :) I love having leftovers too, and I bet this one only gets better with time! Thanks for showing us Bakerme!

Mommyluvs, even with only 5 ingredients, you can add or omit any ingredients you want to make it your own :)

Karen, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. I did find the broccoli slaw crunchier than cabbage, so suggest you make it the day ahead so it softens up.
