I was on the search for a semi-easy recipe 3 teenage girls could make :-D This was perfect! I usually have a bunch of bakers chocolate squares on hand but I guess it got used up, so for the melting chocolate part, we just used plain ole' chocolate chips. Seemed to work out pretty well! We tried really hard not to over bake these and took them out as soon as the middle seemed set but slightly jiggly. Once they came to room temp. it had set up beautifully. I recommend having a cup of hot water to dip your knife in when slicing, we didn't do this but will next time, to get a prettier cut. These are definitely rich, so cutting into small squares like Luisa suggested worked for us :) Thanks Luisa, absolutely delicious!

Good call on keeping a close watch so they didn't over bake! And good tip on cleaning the knife-- though I know with kids waiting to devour them that wouldn't happen here either, LOL ;) ;)

Oh Heaven's! I made these years ago and forgot about them! Remember them turning out perfect though! Thanks Michelle for bringing them back into light! If memory serves me well (which is always questionable, lol) I made these one year for our annual Christmas fondue party as I wasn't in the mood that year to mess with the chocolate part of the fondue. We had too many guests that year and it was just easier to have a simple dessert of some sort.

So consider this a second review as I remember them being Delightful! On the short list now!!!
