Chicken Noodle Soup

    Made for November's soup/stew challenge.
Basic recipe that's ideal for when you want a quick and easy small pot of soup for two hearty appetites or four served with a sandwich or salad.
    Chicken Noodle Soup
I left a nice review but the submitter used a stock photo from another site and the recipe is from Swanson. None-the-less it's great. I did use a heavy hand when measuring the noodles and chicken and used a rib of celery and a large carrot. To jazz it up I sprinkled a little thyme in and tossed in some chopped spinach. Very easy to add a little of this or that when you have a good base to work with and this recipe does just that.

Hi Linda, that is a lovey looking bowl of soup. Great photo. That's the good thing about soup, you can add this and that and that is what you did. Sounds delicious..

Beautiful photo of my all-time favorite soup, Linda, and great addition with the spinach! I just made a pot of chicken broth yesterday to stick in the freezer for when the weather really gets cold and I want chicken soup. I ended up with 5 C. of broth, plenty for this soup.

As they say...."Chicken Soup is good for the soul". :) I like the spinach idea. Will try to remember that for my next batch. Nice pic!
