    Farmhouse Oatmeal Apple Crisp
    by Daisy11

This is everything I look for in an apple crisp!
An oat topping with brown sugar is a must for me. And, for me, it should have far more fruit on the bottom than you think it should have--especially compared to the amount of topping. Which this recipe has!
I like that it has a higher cooking temp too, 375F, so you get a nice crisp topping! The topping amount was perfect, it just covered all the apples in my 25cm (9.8") Tatin pan. It was crispy on the outside and tender-chewy on the inside. Yum!
Instead of measuring the nutmeg, I just grated a little bit on, maybe a pinch or two? Other than that I wouldn't change a thing! It's perfect! And the entire family devoured it all in one sitting, Lol! So, I suspect I'll be making this again soon! :D

    Thanks everyone! :)
I have to confess that I don't usually measure ingredients when I make apple crisp, just dump in whatever apples I have and make the topping by eye, Lol! ....But I think I should start following a recipe as this was so delicious! ;)
