    Made Pat`s
    Harvest Apple,cheddar And Sage Bread
for the IMI11`s Apple Challenge last month. :) I made it in September but didn`t taste it `til October so my review is a little tardy. LOL. :)

This loaf smells wonderful while baking. It smells like Thanksgiving. I love the fresh sage in it. The apple lends a bit of sweetness to it. I served it alongside a Butternut Squash soup. I personally wouldn`t make it again. It was nice but it wasn`t great. My brother-in-law however, really liked it and ate a lot of it.

I think the reason I wasn`t as keen on it is because it has the consistency of a dessert bread, like a Banana Loaf etc. but it`s savoury. It`s nice, but like I said, it didn`t wow me.

Lovely pictures Janet! This looks like it would be great toasted for breakfast and slathered with butter, I could do savory. I bet it would make an excellent savory bread pudding.

Thanks. I`m not keen on bread puddings but perhaps I should try a piece toasted with my eggs tomorrow Linda!

Well, it looks delicious!! It does look like it would have the texture of a banana bread. I think you should try the toasting, it will give it some crunch. Or you could always just make a loaf for when your BIL is on his way over lol :-D

Lovely Photos Janet, and i agree with Linda and mommyluvs2cook.
Toast maybe with peanut and jam, or you could try making French toast?

It looks wonderful Janet! Too bad it wasn't what you were expecting, but at least your BIL loved it! How about pan toasting some cubes of it in butter for croutons? That might go well with that Apple Feta Salad recipe! :)

Thanks everybody! :) Shona, your idea about making croutons out of it might be very cool. I`ll try an egg with it toasted tomorrow and if I don`t like it I`ll try the crouton thing, and if that isn`t tasty the crows will feast. :)

Tried it toasted this morning with a fried egg and a slice of peameal bacon. I do prefer it toasted than plain but I just am not a fan of the texture. It has a really lovely flavour. This is a good recipe, I just don`t care for it enough to make it again.
