Oops! I copied wrong link - I had looked on AR thinking that is where I found the recipe I tried, but it was this one. Please disregard my last post.
I made this for the June 2017 picnic challenge.
I remembered a similar salad from when I was a child - I loved it.
I liked this too, but the main difference in this one was the addition of ranch dressing instead of sour cream. I haven't decided if I liked the ranch dressing or not - it could be that it just wasn't what I remembered. We also always added chopped green onion. I definitely will try it again and will try it with the sour cream in place of the ranch dressing and I will add green onions.

Sometimes recreating a childhood memory can be hard, especially when our taste buds seem to change! Sour cream sounds better to me (I am not a fan of any store bought ranch dressing!) Green onions are always great in pasta salads. You'll have to try your substitutions and report back on the flavor Karen! :) :)

Cosmicmother - very true about trying to recreate a childhood memory. Sometimes i find the ranch to be an overpowering flavor. I also remember a similar salad with tuna and celery, I believe.

Also, not a ranch fan here, but I think I would love this with sour cream, and I would probably have to use real mayo instead of the miracle whip as well, but that could turn into a whole long debate if PSO turned up LOL :P :P I bet this is another one that's get's better as the day's go by :)

NPMarie, Mommyluvs2cook, and Cosmicmother - We finished it off last night - I am going to make it again this weekend to bring for my lunch at work next week - will try it with the sour cream instead of the ranch and let you all know :)
