Incredible Barbecue Rub For Ribs

*Made for the June 2019 "Rub" Recipe Challenge*

I didn't realize it until I started to put this rub together that I didn't have enough paprika to make this full recipe! I quartered the recipe and had plenty for my one rack of ribs, plus enough for another rack that I saved. This rub was nice! I upped the amount of garlic powder and for the sugar I used coconut sugar, which worked great! Made my own BBQ sauce to slather on top. I cooked these in my Instant Pot with the rub, then put on the sauce and broiled for a few minutes. In my picture my ribs look like they have condensation on them but it's just the BBQ sauce bubbling lol.

I love how you staged your spice mix photo. Very artistic and very colourful! You need to think of a part time career as a Food Photographer Michelle!!! :) The ribs look heavenly! That's an awful lot of sugar though. I think it'd be too sweet for hubby's and my tastes.

I saw someone else do their picture like that Janet, and did it myself, loved the way it looked! It is a lot of sugar, but we liked it! I think coconut sugar is slightly less sweet, so that probably helped too lol :)

Nice photos, Mommyluvs2cook! I agree with Chuckieb--love how you staged the spices in the bowl. The ribs look awesome! I never would have guessed that you cooked them in an instant pot. I'll bet the IP makes them tender and juicy.

Pictures are great Michelle!! I've never made ribs. I'm the only one who would eat them here so I never ventured a recipe. Yours sure do look delicious!

That looks great Michelle! Pork tastes so good with a sweet rub, especially if your not slathering it with a sugary bbq type sauce. I never would have thought to start the ribs in an IP, great idea! :D
