Okay, so we found out we are not the biggest fans of corned beef sliced up like this and eaten with a knife and fork. It's a texture thing!!! So I am solely basing this recipe off of the flavor. Too much cloves!!! I'm wondering if that was a typo? 1 Tbs. is A LOT of cloves but I had wanted to stick with it as I have loved all of Icecreamuffins recipes, but whew! I think it would have worked if it was 1/2 tsp. maybe? Maybe we are just clove wimps?! Anyway, I will maybe wash off the outside and slice it very thin for sandwiches, because we like corned beef that way (only way we've had it before now lol). I don't think I want to rate this any stars, but I am leaving a comment, just so others will be warned about the clove amount in case they are sensitive to them :)

WOW! I tablespoon of cloves is far too much and would overpower anything, Michelle! Too bad this was your first corned beef to try. Normally corned beef is already brined in its own spices and it doesn't need any more spicing up in IMHO. I hope washing the cloves off will salvage it. I am hoping it is a typo and I don't blame you for not rating it. I hope she sees it and adjusts it accordingly. Very nice pic but it does give me the shivers when I see so much clove residue in the juice.

Oh wow! Yes a T of cloves is way too much and I think she must have meant tsp at most! Hopefully she sees that and adjusts it.
I do hope you can salvage it for sandwiches!! :)

Ok, so I'm not the only one that thought that was a lot :P The only time I use cloves is when baking desserts and I've heard about how too much could be bad, and now I know!! I have decided to wash it off chop some of it up small and make a hash out of it tomorrow night, I'll update y'all on how it turns out :)
