Sausage Soup

I love soup and always looking for different recipes.
I used Mild Italian Sausage which I took out of the casings and made into balls.
I don’t have garlic salt so I minced up one clove of garlic. I browned the sausage first then drained the bit of fat that was left. I followed the ingredients of the recipe but not so much the directions. After I added the vegetables I let it simmer for about one hour so the flavors could meld. I never cook the noodles with the soup because if there are leftovers the noodles suck up the juice and get mushy. I cook them on the side and add to the bowl.
I didn’t have bow tie pasta so I used circle pasta.
I used my own chicken broth and added a bit of salt and pepper to taste.
I forgot to add the tomatoes but it was still tasty.
To me soup has to simmer a while so the flavors can combine.

Yummy picture Manella! I too love soup. I guess if you are feeding enough people cooking the noodles in the soup is fine but otherwise, I agree with you, cook them on the side and add per serving so they don't get mushy.

I love soup too and make it year round, even if it's a hundred degrees outside :P. Good call cooking the noodles separate! Looks great :)
