  Made for IMI2's 'Sandwich' challenge for July 2018.
  
  Love me a good Sloppy Joe sandwich and this recipe is the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Easy to make too! Hamburger buns are ideal but I like mine on good organic whole grain toasted bread. For some reason I don't care for green peppers in sloppy joes so I just left that ingredient out.

  My husband is a huge sloppy joe lover, so he would appreciate me making this for him :) I'm like you Linda, I prefer my sloppy joe's on a nice sandwich type bread, but my family goes with the hamburger buns. Love your picture!!

  I haven't had a sloppy joe in ages. Loved them as a kid, but now I find them too sweet. This recipe doesn't look overly sweet. I'm pretty sure we ate this on sandwich bread when I was growing up. The toasted bread looks really good. The filling probably doesn't soak through as much. Fantastic photo!
