YES! This is it! I’ve been looking for a carne asada recipe similar to one that I had at a restaurant years ago. It had a unique smokey flavor and was tossed with onions, peppers, and bacon. I was skeptical of the lime juice and orange juice, but it was AWESOME! Loved the smokey flavor! I omitted the cilantro and jalapenos as a personal preference. The other thing I did different was marinate the entire steak and quickly fried in a sizzling hot cast iron skillet with some olive oil and butter. I did this so I could have a rare or pink center. While I was slicing the steak, I added chopped peppers and onions to the skillet and sauteed in pan juices. Forgot the bacon, but added it later. This recipe is a definite keeper!
