Made this tonight, to me the title is a bit misleading. When I read *steamed* I thought of my double boiler. The recipe says combine all in a pot and cook, to me that’s boiled cabbage.
I did it in my double boiler, it turned out good, my husband loves cabbage and it went well with the mild Italian Sausage and carrots,
Unfortunately the onions didn’t make it:((

I like to steam cabbage and carrots then sauté it in butter (with just s&p, no sugar)--I guess this is the all in one method! ;)

Great photo, Manella! I'm coming for dinner with Cosmicmother. I love cooked cabbage. DH not so much so I rarely make it. I don't have a double boiler so this is the method I use to steam vegetables. I put a small amount of water in the pot. Just enough to keep it from burning on the bottom and cover with a lid.
