Swedish Christmas Brown Beans.

I looked up Swedish Brown Beans, they can be replaced with regulars brown beans.
I use Thompson’s White Pea Beans. This is close to how I make brown beans so I thought something different. I somewhat followed the recipe, I added a medium diced onion, and the rest stayed the same.
I was a bit apprehensive as I never used nutmeg or a cinnamon stick in stew.
The beans were not ready in one hour but that is because I used a different bean, I think.
Mine took close to six hours in a 250 degree as the submitter did not add what temperature to cook them in. It was ok but to sweet for us, I gave them to my SIL who likes sweet.
    I wont make these again.

Nice photo Manella, I love your yellow dish! :)
Too bad this was too sweet for you. I can see how this would be called Christmas Beans with the molasses, cinnamon and nutmeg. Perhaps the cinnamon stick made it taste sweeter than it was? At least your SIL liked it and it won't go to waste! :)

Great photo Manella. Recipe reminds me of baked beans but seasoned a little different. Sorry it was a little too sweet for you.
