Sweet And Sour Turkey Meatballs

These were exactly as the title, sweet and sour! Loved the hint of fresh ginger in the meatballs themselves. Used almond flour in them instead of the bread crumbs cause that's what I had. Did not use the slow cooker, what I did was saute the bell peppers (used a mix of red and green), added onions and carrots and cooked those until soft. Added in the sauce ingredients and pineapple then added the meatballs, which I had cooked as stated first in the oven for 20 minutes. Cooked in the sauce for about another 10 minutes. Served over rice to soak up all the yummy sweet and sour sauce, delicious! Everyone cleaned their plate :)

    That looks so good Michelle!!
I love recipes like this, sometimes the balance of sweet and sour can be off in some recipes. But this sounds like a winner, saved!! :)

Beautiful photo, Mommyluvs2cook! I love colorful food and this would go over well in our house. We like sweet 'n sour and hubby likes anything that has pineapple in it.
