*Made for the November 2019 "Pie" Recipe Challenge*

I made this year's ago and it was just as delicious as I remember :) I chose to use potatoes, carrots and peas in mine. I pre-cooked the potatoes and carrots. The pie crust is so easy and quick to throw together but it really does not turn out pretty around the edges. I added a pic. before I baked, which is still not the prettiest, but after baked looks so much different lol. The inside is creamy and taste great so that's all that matters :) No pic. of the cut pie, looks just like the one I posted 8 years ago!

That looks lovely Michelle! I think it's pretty and the baked crust looks perfectly golden brown! :)
I'm not the biggest fan of making pie dough, but when I do it's always one with an egg and vinegar like this one. It's very forgiving, and makes the dough pliable, sturdy (doesn't shrink) tender and flaky. This sounds like a great recipe!! :D

I love it Michelle! This is exactly something like I'd like to make this month although I bet I'll chicken out and just use store bought crusts. :) I think it looks great and it sounds most delicious! Such perfect November food, especially here in Canada where it's very chilly at the moment.

I loved working with this crust Shona, and using the parchment paper helps with the transferring nicely! It was definitely tender :)

I did almost use store bought crust Janet! Mainly for a time saver but also because it intimidates me lol. Decided last minute to go for it though :)

Great looking pot pie, Mommyluvs2cook! Pot pies are not supposed to be pretty. It's comfort food! Your golden brown crust looks delicious. I make my own pie crust and it is very similar to this recipe with the vinegar. My recipe says to refrigerate the dough for one hour before rolling. That might help the edges hold their shape. Definitely a good looking recipe for leftover Thanksgiving turkey.
