Yummy Cinnamon Waffles

Was looking for some strawberry waffles or something to go along with the Recipe Challenge but the 4 that popped up did not fit with what I had on hand :)

Found these though and they were yummy!! I doubled both the cinnamon and vanilla and used light olive oil in place of the vegetable oil, cause that's what I had. Oh, and directions do not say when to add in the cinnamon, so I added it into the sifter with the other dry ingredients. Cooked these up in my iron until they were nice and crisp how my family likes them :)

Your homemade waffles look lovely Michelle! Making waffles has not been something I've gotten the hang of just yet and I really enjoy them.

Thanks! I don't make waffles very often because my waffle maker is a PIA to clean lol. But they are worth it :)

All waffle makers are a PIA to clean. That too is another reason I don't venture often to make waffles.

I'm sure they make ones where the waffle part is removable, but the one I have is not (a gift a couple years ago) so I can't even run it under running water. It such a PAIN!! LOL.

    That looks delicious Michelle!! Yum!

I'll give you a professional kitchen tip: We never washed muffin tins, griddle pans etc. in a sink. Take a damp paper towel and wipe it out clean, followed by a dry cloth. Then you can wipe it down with a lightly oiled paper towel to keep it non-stick and prevent rusting while storing. I do this it at home and it keeps my muffin tins in perfect shape, (and I never have to use cupcake liners). It's how I wash my electric pancake griddle too! :)

So kind of like you would wash cast iron Shona, cool! With my waffle maker, I just wipe it out with a damp thick paper towel. It's just getting into every groove that drives me crazy. I do feel like I need to soap it down, but I don't. It's clean enough!
