Amish White Bread

Recipe by Jlv1023. Amish White Bread
    This recipe needs some help.
Not enough dough for the 9x5 loaf pans. Need to double the recipe by half to make the dough fit or it comes out squatty looking. Or maybe just go to the next smaller loaf pan.
Because the dough is too small for the loaf pan, it has to rise to much to come up over the lip and it will fall during baking.
The bake time and or temperature is too short. Even with 5 more minutes added to the bake time the color was spotty light brown to white.
Pricking the top of the loaf with a fork does not add any esthetic appeal at all.
I ended up with a squatty fallen loaf that was not fully baked.
Too many good bread recipes in here unless you just want to play with this one.

You are certainly a practiced professional at baking all sorts of bread. I'm sure Jlv1023 will appreciate your helpful review. Did you happen to look around the web for any other "Amish White Bread" recipes? I was trying to figure out what made it especially Amish other than its reputed origin. I've had mixed success with recipes coming off of Recipezaar.

There is another Amish bread recipe on this site. It too looks like it is in too large a loaf pan and there might be something amiss with the yeast amount.
