I did not mash the carrots as I remember having this exact recipe years ago
with sliced carrots. I also originally used crushed potato chips on the top but used the crushed butter crackers this time and it was really delicious. This is a really rich side dish and nice for a change of pace. So glad to have been reminded about it and glad to have the recipe again.

Sorry, I also did not use the egg as I imagine that was just in the recipe since the carrots were mashed, which I did NOT do.
