Creamy Smoked Gouda Sauce

Yum Yum!! This sauce is totally right up my alley as gouda is probably my FAVORITE cheese! I must admit that I used 2% milk and added extra cornstarch but it still was not as thick as Keni's picture looked, but it didn't matter, cause the flavor was awesome! I didn't have Hungarian paprika either so I stuck with the theme and used smoked. I served this sauce over some wild mushroom ravioli type things (forget what they are called but they are by Buotoni) and it was so delicious!

Wild mushroom ravioli type things? Maybe they are mushroom raviolis? :-D

No they were called something weird and I really wish I would remember! I made them last night so the package is long gone in the bottom of the trash lol! Gouda is up there in my cheeses but still can't decide on a definite favorite though (hint hint I said probably favorite). All cheese is just so good ;)

That looks good ML2C. I like the sound of Gouda covered mushroom (thingies) But Frankieanne doesnt like mushrooms. She's one of those "picky people" you referred to :D

BTW, Im not a picky people. The only thing I dont like is cilantro. Oh and liver. And sweet potatoes And anchovies. And Earl Grey tea. But thats all....Except whipped cream......thats not picky :)

I had never heard of agnolotti. I had to google them. From what I read, they are supposed to have roast beef in them as well. Did it seem like they did, ml2c?
Yep, I don't like mushrooms, Mr P. I might be able to handle one if it was smothered in melted Gouda though. Maybe. :)

Oh yea I forgot about the mushroom issue with Frankie ;0) Weird that they have roast beef in them. I didn't notice but mushrooms are so "meaty" on there own it would be easy to miss.

And no your not picky at all Mr. P ;) I actually consider myself not picky but then I have my list too. Raisins are a BIG no no for me, except in rain bread, and I hate raw celery and pimento cheese. Not really sure about anchovies. I don't think I've had them and have heard they are really good melted into certain sauces.

ML2C. Thats too funny. I dont like raisins in anything. I like eating them plain. Same with olives. I like to eat them plain also but dont want them in ANYTHING, especially pizza. I like putting them on the end of my fingers and snacking on them.............Yes still like doing that. Same with those Bugles chip things : ) I'll never grow up. : )
