Getting Started

I have a friend who owns a small coffee shop. She is going in for hip surgery. I am helping her out during her absence. I have confidence in my cooking even for 25-30 at a time. I have lots of recipe ideas. I just need to learn how to set my calendar up. She always has a daily special. Roast on Sat. Monday Ham and Friday fried chicken. The rest of the days I am free to experiment. The restaurant is open from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm M-Sat. She has a daily clientle of about 60 all told. The restaurant is located in a rural small town. Any suggestions you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

This is a great opportunity for you, dandelion. I wish you success.

Is there a possibility of discussing monthly cooking in this group?

I recently started menu planning and I am loving the ease of shopping and always knowing what's for supper!

I'd love to discuss montly cooking. I just started another thread on freezing. Hopefully someone has heard of this book or has some great recipes that they have used over the years.

I wish I had my cooking buddies close by to share expenses and chores. Then take home fabulous meals for our families. There are some cooking clubs here called Supper Thyme. You can make 12 meals and take them home to freeze. The club controls the recipes though. And you have to buy their food. Not sure what else is involved.

Yes, I've heard of businesses like that. Better to have a bunch of girlfriends get together!

Maybe I should just organize a new group huh. I don't have that many girlfriends. I live very rurally.
