sometimes...

Your neighbors just tick you off. I mean, really, we just moved in this house Jan 03. The little old lady on one side has the nicest, neatest yard. And then you have ours..toys and weeds here and there..drives her nuts and I am truly sorry for it.
On the other side we have a neighbor with a huge antenna for a HAM radio...his late-nite chats with his buddy come thru on my t.v. here and there. bah!
But we love them, still. :)

Anyone else with some good neighbor stories?

I'm really lucky...there are 10 houses on our cul-de-sac and the neighbors are all very nice. When we moved in 8 years ago, we weren't here a week when my stepson managed to run over the mailbox that belonged to the crochety old man across the street with his car! Mr. A had just painted it that morning and wasn't at all happy. But my husband and stepson got him a new one and fixed it. We were soon forgiven and though they're elderly, we're now very good friends with Mr. & Mrs. A!

My husband, Charlie, is a geek about keeping our yard clear of fall leaves... he busts his but mowing and picking our up with a leaf sweeper.... then the very next day we get high winds and my cousins leaves all blow into our yard.... they think its funny.... makes him madder than anything.....

Charlie backed into a post at a Dairy Freeze Drive Inn one time when we were first dating.....He was looking at me and not watching what he was doing... He was so embarrassed.... Had to tell his mother why...

Z...my hubby is positively anal about our yard. It actually looks like green velvet!!! He and your hubby are two of a kind!

M...That's funny!!! People are really strange sometimes!

Our neighbors all speak if we're out or whatever, but we only visit with Mr. & Mrs. A. She made the comment to me a few weeks ago when I was over for tea how neighbor just don't "neighbor" they way the did in the past. I think it has to do with all of us working and when you have a moment, there are domestic goddess duties (cooking, cleaning, laundry) or outside stuff....it's just being BUSY!!
