You might want to post your question in the photography and stylings group. They probably know their way around massaging photos. I don't have a clue what to do. Hey that rhymed!

I have tried to remove photos from this site without results, so my first thought is that once uploaded the picture belongs to GR and is locked-in. I would suggest that you size and crop your photos first, before uploading them to your recipes.

OK. It only took a half hour to learn how to do what you requested:

Left click on the image to bring the image up.
Right click on the image and select “Save image as….” Or do a cntrl v.
Save the image to your computer.
Bring the picture up in your photoshop software and massage the picture to your liking.

You should be able to use the procedure on your or anybody else's pictures. If you are looking to resubmit the pics, well, you already know how to do that. If you are looking to cover up an existing picture with an updated one, you will not be able to do that to a step-by-step photo. The sites software appends the picture onto the end of the string of pictures. I don't know if there is a picture limit that will push the oldest picture off the page.
But you will be able to replace the main picture on your recipe. I have seen others do that.

I just joined this site a few days ago, but when I did, I added a few photos. I always fix my photos before I upload them. I use Picasa to make them look better ( free from Google: http://picasa.google.com/) and Serif software's free PhotoPlus 6 (http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/) to re-size them for upload. The smaller the Kbs, the faster the photo loads on the net.
If you use these program and wish my help, contact me at elmc1949@gmail.com
