Finally Friday

Morning everyone! Finally a chill day here :) This week was a little busy with Schlitterbaun on Tuesday, Wednesday was a last minute school shopping day/hair cuts/ and yesterday we went to my brothers apartment to swim plus meet the teacher at Bri's school which actually involves 7 teachers :P She is super excited about all of them except her Algebra teacher, who said she will have homework and reading assignments EVERY night. She is in Pre-AP classes but had pretty much zero homework last year, so this will be a definite change. They have an acceleration class to do homework in but when we met with her, she said they would be not be doing homework, but learning about life in general. Bri was not happy with that lol. We met Caiden's teachers on Wednesday, he has 2, and his main teacher (the one he will spend the most time with) seems AMAZING, and super sweet. His "switch teacher" for Math and Science seems rough. She was all smiles, but seemed very mean with a "hard" personality. I think it will be a good balance for him....maybe?? Hopefully he will stay out of trouble with her :\

Just going to relax today, Briauna has been setting her alarm to go off earlier and earlier each day to get ready for the 5:15 wake up call on Monday :P She is getting up at 8am today. Tomorrow will be 7:30 and Sunday will be 7. Much better than waking up at 11 like she normally does.

Dinner will be breakfast! I'm making chocolate chip muffins, eggs, bacon, and maybe some biscuits and gravy. Have a good day!!

    Good Morning Everyone.

Kids here started school last week. Seems very early but I have no idea how many breaks there are and for how long.
That's smart Michelle to start setting the alarm to get use to getting up earlier. Will be interesting to see how the teachers that didn't make a great impressions turn out. Hoping it's a great school year!
Dinner for breakfast sounds delicious especially if there are muffins, LOL!

Plans today are to get to the gym. My back is a little knotted up in one spot from sleeping wrong so hoping to "work" it out. Not sure what I'll be making for dinner. Too early yet to conclude anything. I'm making an effort to cut way back or eliminate foods that cause inflammation and am feeling much better. It's not that hard to do and I really don't miss anything and when I grocery shop I'm just passing things by. It's way too easy to get off track though and the biggest contributor to that is eating out. Even healthy choices are less healthy when eating out and half the time you don't even know all of what's used to make something.

Ordered some items from Mountain Rose Herbs (wonderful site) that delivered yesterday. I got broccoli and radish seeds for sprouting, lime essential oil to diffuse, and a tincture formula to help with sleep and another one for stress that I'll try when I need one.

LD's belly has cleared up nicely so I'm now letting him back out on the lanai to see if he breaks-out. It's either something on the lanai pavers or his canned dog food that I feed in the morning (that he hates). I haven't been feeding the food (it's an organic brand but still there could be something in it that doesn't fair well for him) but will after a month of letting him out on the lanai. Then I'll stop letting him on the lanai and start feeding the food in the morning and see.

Hi everyone! Leaves are falling from an elm tree near the house so I think things are turning from summer to fall here in the Rainy River area.

Not a lot on the docket today. I’m going to bring Mom in a dish of Meatball soup for her lunch and hopefully take her for a walk before that to get a bit of exercise. Will get some ‘me’ time at the Library in the afternoon. 😊

Are heading to the Legion this evening for the Meat Draw. 😊 A bunch of us from high school are going to meet up for pizza and drinks. Should be a hoot. Haven’t had a good get together in a very, very long time with them.

Nice that you got to meet all the teachers Michelle. Good for Bri easing herself back in to school waking hours. :) Benjamin was on vacation in Thailand for the last while. We got a message from him last night that he'd overslept and was worried he was going to miss his flight back to Taiwan. I got another message from him this morning saying all was well and he'd made it. LOL. He is very much unlike his Mother in that respect as I never sleep the night before a flight as I am totally PARANOID that I'm going to miss it.

Neat on the items from Mountain Rose Herbs Linda. Very fun!

    Quick hi.

We are still in Denver for church convocation and leave in the morning... saw middle GS and Took him out for supper. Next year’s wil be in Indianapolis! Yay!

The sky thru most of Kansas was full of brown smoke during much of the drive-here. At times I had to turn on the headlights! The winds finally shifted todayafter dinner with GS, so on the way back to the hotel we were finally able to see the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Had been there before way back in the 70’s....

Now for a shower and bed!
