Munching on Monday

    Good Morning Everyone!
Well...I saw Jim off at the airport last night and the last I heard from him the plane was detained from boarding as we were getting severe thunder and lightening. He hasn't checked in yet but he should be in Cambridge by now and even almost ready to head into work for the afternoon. The first day there is always a killer because of the time change.
As for Mom and I today.....she has a Lithotripsy procedure at noon to continue to try blast at her kidney stones. I think it's supposed to take about 4-5 hours so I think I'll bring her out for dinner or if she's not feeling tip top, I'll grab take out on the way home. I made her a bowl of orange jello for breakfast as she is only allowed clear fluids. :)
Tina....I found a Doggy door knocker for you. There are tons of them on Pinterest. Just type Dog door knocker into the search bar under 'pins'. :)
Wishing everyone a really good Monday!

Tina....I know I'm probably missing seeing something, but I'd like to subscribe to your blog but I can't tell exactly where to do that. I did find one spot that looked likely but then it said I had to use a reader like Yahoo or some others that I'm not familiar with? Do I have to download something special in order to get the new posts sent to me? Computer brain not turned on yet this early on a Monday morning. :)

Good morning Janet! Sending the very best wishes to your Mom today and hoping they can blast those nasty kidney stones from here to Kingdom Come! Once and for all! I am sure Jim arrived safely and yes no doubt he will be tired poor guy. Enjoy your dinner no matter what you do. Oh yes in case Tina doesn't touch base today. There is a link button on the bottom of her blog which you can push on and join her site from there. I just did it:)

Gee they are calling for scattered thunderstorms again today!!! I was thinking I would go to a garden place called "The Fairy Garden" today which it at Rideau Ferry not too far away. Apparently they have different garden ornaments and they specialize in unique and unusual flowers, so we shall see! It will depend on the weather if I go today or wait until tomorrow when rain and storms are less likely to happen. We are having roasted chicken breasts tonight with what else I am not sure at this moment.

Hoping everyone has a good Monday!

Hi....and Bye. I'm late for OT, still need a shower and war paint. I can barely keep my eyes open. Love the door knocker, looks just like Charlie's profile. LOVE!
Aw, hope all goes well with your mom!
Joce, thanks for friending me. I knew there was a link, but I wouldn't know where to send anyone.
Leaving poached chicken for the family. Eating peanut butter and jelly for me.
Please let this day go more quickly than yesterday. I want to sleep.
    Hugs all.

    Hey all
Beautiful day here. The oil tech is hear cleaning out the burner since its leaving soot all over my laundry room. Joy and I are sitting on the deck. She just had a meet and greet with a turtle in the yard. Lol she didn't know what to make of it. Goings a fend for yourself type of night. I'm working at WW.

    Hello!

Janet best wishes going to your Mom...Hope Jim has a good trip!

Oh Tina, Hope the day flies by and you get plenty of rest tonight!!!

    Hi Laurie:)

Joce, that sounds like such a great place, let us know what you found for your garden!

Dinner will be crock pot enchiladas.

There has been a beautiful Siamese hanging around the neighborhood, it belobgs to someone...it came up to me, looked awfully hungry, so I have been feeding it for a few days now, took her to our Vet, had her scanned to see if the owner had a chip implanted, no, of course not. She's 2-3 years old, spayed and a real sweetheart. I'm running classified ads in the local newspapers (free for found pets) and on Craigslist..hung some posters in the neighborhood..went to the next street over, knocked on a few doors asking if anyone is missing a cat..no luck. So, wish me luck finding her home..:)

Tina, Sending sweet sleep vibes for you tonight when you get home. Oh boy when will your OT be over this week?

Laurie, Good idea having to furnace cleaned and it seems like you caught it in the nip of time. I have known a few people that when the whole thing backs up (I am gathering you use oil to heat with) it can just about ruin the whole inside of the house.

Marie, What kind of Siamese cat is it a Chocolate Point? I used to have one and they are big sucks. Would you consider keeping her if no one claims her?

I went to the Fairy Garden but I guess I am a little late for some things they actually have an order list for next year already! I did get another Hardy Hibiscus and this one is white
and I ordered another one for next year it is called Peppermint Schnapps it is kind of a bright pink colour. I also bought a soft pink coloured Buddalea (SP) commonly called a Butterfly Bush and then went browsing around other garden centers when I came back.
In one there was this lady with her car stuffed with fairly common Hostas and I said "if you want Hostas you can come dig a bunch of them up at my house for free"! Well she is taking me up on my offer and will be here tomorrow around noon. I have to keep digging them up every second year or so as they keep trying to grow over my walkway to the backyard and I keep giving many of them away. So she is doing me a favour and things like that work good both ways IMHO. LOL I had to apologize to the saleswomen
at the garden place but she said she didn't mind at all:)

Joce, she's either a Blue Point or Lilac Point, I'm guessing Blue..We have talked about it ...and both have fell in love with her, so I'm guessing , yes, we would keep her..it's just she needs to be an inside cat (too many critters up here) where she's safe..out 2 inside cats don't seem to be taking to her..we will have to see..if no one claims her, I will have to get her vaccinated etc...My parents adore Siamese cats (we have quite a few growing up!), and they could very well be talked into giving her a furrever home:) We will just have to see what happens:)

How nice of you to offer the woman some of your Hostas! Sounds like you picked up some beautiful plants:)
