Solo Saturday

  • mommyluvs2cook 8 years ago
Morning! Solo is the only dance term I could think of starting with an "S"! Bri's recital is this afternoon. She's very excited and I will take lots of pictures to post her pretty outfits :) This will probably be her last year in dance, I think she want's to start focusing on sports. She will continue tumbling just to stay limber. After her recital we have invited everyone back to our house and we are going to grill some ribs and chicken thighs. Everyone is bringing something as well, green salad, potato salad, dessert (not sure what) and rolls. Wishing everyone a great day!!

Great name for the thread today, Michelle. Bri will do just fine in her recital this afternoon. I am looking forward to see those pics of her pretty outfits. Nice you are having everyone back to the house afterwards. No doubt your dinner will be delicious!

It is very hot and humid out and they are predicting thunderstorms later on this afternoon. Den did the grocery run this morning, then mowed the lawn. I need him to dig up a bunch of irises for me as they are getting very overgrown. Den is having his normal Saturday fair of cheeseburgers and fries and I don't have a clue about what I am having yet.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

I loved the dance recitals. I hope you have a great afterparty Michelle. Did Bri say what sport interested her the most? All three of my grand nieces are soccer fanatics. A lot of running.

I'm glad Den could dodge the thunderstorms and get his chores done. A cheeseburger sounds good for supper. Hm, don't you order Chinese on his burger day? How did the rib eyes turn out?

Molly keeps getting sick. more laundry to do....always my bedspread is the target. She did eat a bar of Ivory soap yesterday. Lola was a sleepy pug this am, Charlie too. That let me sleep in. I can hear thunder. I'll have to check the radar and get a xanax in Molly.
Liv is working a wedding banquet tonight it should be fun.

Changed our cruise booking, found a better deal. Bigger ship, closer port, two days shorter. Saves us a lot. But we will be out to sea which Fred loved and that is restorative. Plus we have a balcony to sit on.

I'm getting hungry. I do believe a sandwich is in order. PB&J

Dinner, I'm not sure. I have lots of dill dip and carrots, hummus and cukes. I just might nibble.

PB & J are good, Tina! Enjoy your cruise! Hi Joce and Michelle.

Just back from Springfield. We spent too much money and are tired from walking around on concrete all day. But it was fun. I need a shower and it will early to bed.

Last night we had some excitement. 12 wild hogs meandered across our hay field that we had just baled. Have not been down to access the damage but they do a number of your land. Conservation orders are shoot to kill upon sight. We snapped some pix, Wayne went to get his rifle but they were gone by the time he got it out of the safe.
He will call Conservation and check on what, if anything, they can do to help capture / kill them.

I best go see what Wayne wants for supper. I don't want to cook and neither of us are hungry. Should have picked up Church's chicken on the way home, I guess.

Wild hogs are hunted for sport here. My neighbor has his prize kill taxidermied (sp) and mounted over their fireplace. Debbie hated it and would decorate it with twinkly lights and reindeer horns for Christmas. It was unique to say the least.

I'm upside down in hours again. I can do three days max as human and then have a vampire night followed by a narcoleptic.. It took me an hour to change the sheets on the bed w/o Olivia. What used to take 15 minutes becomes 45.....My back is screaming from loading the laundry. My infection still has red streaks running to my left nymph nodes and continues to hurt. The ping pong ball cyst is down to a marble. I'm terrified of breast or lymph node cancer. I have almond size lumps under my chin that hurt too.

Molly is giving both my feet a massage. She is weird dog. Fred would be screaming and jumping, he hated to have his feet touched. Molly is rather relaxing. It is better than a snoring pug cap all night long.

Had a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner with mixed veggies and carrots with dill dip. Veggie quotient is good today.
