Totally Tubular Tuesday.....

Good Morning Everybody! It`s a gorgeous looking day out but still ca-ca-cold. -25C/-13F. Jim woke up early (pre: 7 a.m.) :) and my hearing is top notch so we were both up having coffee when we`re usually still snoozing.

The turkeys just flew down from the trees. Late for them but it seems they stay up there longer when the temperatures are low.

Jim and I are contemplating going to a movie this afternoon. If we do that then I think I`ll just thaw some cabbage rolls that I have in the freezer and make some perogies on the side. I was supposed to go out tomorrow for lunch with two girlfriends but they are forecasting snow in the morning and freezing rain in the afternoon so we cancelled it. Boo. Hopefully we can reschedule soon.

Linda, I got `Lone Wolf` by Jodi Picoult out of the library and just started it. It`s very good so far.

We had a fun night at the Juke Joint Soul Kitchen last night. The music was very good. They had about 6 different guys doing Open Mic. One was a young guy from New Zealand which was fun and one older man sounded exactly like Leonard Cohen. :)

    Wishing everyone a great Tuesday!

    Good Morning Everyone.

Beautiful day here. Not as cold as it was yesterday. Yesterday the cold got in your bones, a damp cold. Poor LD couldn't get warm, even with his little indoor shirt on he was still chilled and seeking warmth. DH did a load of laundry in the morning and when it's finished drying LD loves climb in the basket and nestle down. Yesterday he wouldn't come out. He stayed in the basket for about 45 minutes.

I made waffles this morning and was pleased I didn't overflow the iron and nor did any stick. Success! I made plain waffles with an overnight yeast batter. Of course there are a lot so I have the rest cooling and will freeze.
Need to run an errand later and that's about it for the day here. I'm still sore from going to the gym Sunday.
    No clue about dinner yet.

I loved the book "Lone Wolf" Janet. I had a hard time putting it down. Glad you too are enjoying it. What movie do you think you want to see? Happy to hear you had a good time out last night. What did you get for dinner? Boo, on more freezing rain forecasted.

Yum on Waffles Linda! I never make pancakes or waffles as Jim doesn`t like them. I always say I`m going to make some for myself and I never do. We are going to go see `The Green Book` at the Theatre. I ordered Chicken fingers with sriracha mayo and fries with gravy last night. Nothing else on the menu spoke to me. LOL. Jim had the Cajun Chicken Curry with flatbread and both Doug and Diane had the Fish n` Chips. Doug also had a humoungous slice of coconut cake with whipped cream and a strawberry drizzle.

My husband doesn't care for pancakes or waffles either but I wanted to make them and I did. The movie is getting good reviews, do let us know how you like it if you go. Chicken fingers and fries are a good! I would have loved the coconut cake too. LOL!

I always forget come breakfast time that I want to make pancakes and then I start making eggs. :) I should leave myself a note.

I quartered two apples and threw them outside last night under the fly through feeder for the deer. They were still there when I woke up and of course frozen solid. But a Doe just came up just now and is quite enjoying them. Yay. :)

Pancakes freeze well Janet. You can make some up anytime you think about it, cool, then freeze and they reheat so well in the toaster oven or microwave.
Sweet on the Doe enjoying some apple.

Made tuna salad for lunch and thought … hmmm, why not use waffles instead of bread. Toasted two waffles and they toasted up beautifully and made a delicious sandwich.
Ran out to run an errand and on the way home by one of the ponds I pass was a gator sunning himself on the bank. He wasn't that big, maybe 4 feet. The weather turned ugly and it's windy with lots of clouds hiding the sun.
I wanted to go out for dinner so I don't have to cook but DH isn't feeling the love of going out so I have to think of something to make, at least for him, I'm happy with a bowl of soup.

Good afternoon and hello to all. I adore waffles and pancakes and have them often! I don't have a waffle maker anymore but still enjoy the frozen ones you can buy. My hubs is not big on either one as well. On occasion he'll eat pancakes when I make up a match but just not really into them. He's an egg guy, lol. Pretty much eats an egg of some sorts every morning. It warmed up here nicely today Linda. Is a bit breezy but the sun stayed out all day. I can feel the temps starting to go down though. Guess we've got cooler weather rolling in again this week. Yesterday was a damp icky kind of cold wasn't it?!

Tis Tuesday so my cheese night so looking forward to that as usual. Not much else going on here. Hubs is in the mood for a mixed drink of some sort (which is unusual during the week, lol) so has ventured off to the liquor store. I rarely have any liquor in the house so have no idea what he will bring back. I will just have my wine!

Hope enjoy the rest of the evening.

That`s very fun that you used the waffles for your tuna sandwich Linda. It`s amazing how changing something up gives you a whole new taste sensation! Very cool on the happy gator. :) Do you ever order in take out? That might be handy in instances such as these where your DH doesn`t want to go out for dinner.

I should just buy myself an inexpensive waffle maker and then that might prompt me to make them Kimmer. I`m not fond of the frozen ones. Jim and I pretty much eat eggs for breakfast every day ourselves. YUM as always on cheese night.

The movie `The Green Book` was excellent. I highly recommend it. It was based on a true story.
