Good Morning Everyone! Another picture perfect morning! Jim and I are enjoying our first cup of coffee. We are going to head back to Fort Frances today to do a bit of shopping. Need to go get some groceries as well as some kitchen stuff from Walmart. Now the car is empty I can fill it up. :)

No clue about dinner as our freezer is bare. Will have to choose something easy to cook up when I'm shopping.

Apart from that I'm dropping off some ham and potato salad for Mom's lunch and I'll grab her something fun in FF to have for her dinner. I'm looking forward to the little trip.

Have some leftover boiled potatoes that I'll saute up for breakfast along with a fried egg.

    Wishing everyone a great Tuesday!

    Good Morning Everyone.
It's a beautiful day here. The sky is a robin's egg blue and not a cloud in site but that can all change later.
Weather Racoon predicted rain yesterday and it came around 4:30, about 1/2 hour after she came and got her PB Sandwich.

No plans for today and not sure what to make for dinner. I'm thinking maybe roasted pork loin since we haven't had one in sometime. I need to do a Costco shop soon but will wait till next week. I have a chiro appointment tomorrow and the air conditioning company comes out Thursday to do it's bi-annual tune-up to keep it running optimally.

Potato salad is always good Janet. And I like that you can make enough for another meal and it keeps well in the fridge. The FB pics of the homestead are beautiful! It looks so peaceful.
When my mom got older she rarely cooked for herself so when I made certain things like stuffed cabbage, pasta sauce, stew, etc. I'd drop off a container and my sister who lived nearby did the same when she cooked. In between my mom would get 'lighter' stuff from the grocery store in their prepared food section.
Enjoy your jaunt in F.F. today.

Hope you get everything in your Walmart order Karen and everything else you done when you are out. Hope too you get some rain soon. Wish I could send you some because we've now gotten plenty.

Potato salad is a must during the summer, Janet. Enjoy your shopping trip.

Your weather raccoon seems to be quite accurate, Linda. They are so cute, even though they can be quite destructive!

We did get rain. More expected. The Walmart order was good, only one unavailable and it was not important. Wayne is at Rotary and running errands. I opted to stay home.

Storms hit the county below us yesterday. We just got a little rain in the evening.

I guess I better fix a quick lunch. No idea about supper unless it is spaghetti, sauce from scratch of course, or ham with mashed potato and creamed spinach, or an Un-Taco salad (no or fewer chips to cut carbs. Wayne won't like it so much but will eat it.)

Got my onions! I gave up and threw out the outs from the recall due to salmonella. Even tho I would have fried the dickens out of them and no salmonella bug would have survived, discretion is better than risk-taking.

    Have a great day.

I now know when my raccoon shows up for dinner, if LD sees her he starts barking and won't stop. I'm sensing a little jealousy. I'm sure am glad Karen that my raccoon, and only 1, shows up for dinner and does no damage to anything.
Yea on getting some rain! with more expected. Glad you got everything for your Walmart order with the exception of only 1 item. My DH won't even look at a Taco salad. He doesn't know what he's missing, LOL!

Cut my loaf of soap today and then took one of the bars and embeded into another small loaf of soap. The batter I made to add is swirled with more dark green color and neutral. Hard to describe what I did but once it sets up and I cut it I'll take a picture. I may do the same again tomorrow or something similar. I was short about 2 ounces of soap batter to have made it perfect. I'll trim the top down to even it out. I like my little mold, mistakes are not so costly.

Love your Weather Raccoon Linda and I also love that you give her PB sandwiches! LOL! How nice for your Mom that she had two daughters nearby to drop her off Care packages! When I dropped Mom off a couple of things that she'd requested from FF she told me she'd gone to get an ice cream cup at the Park with her two buddies and that she was stuffed full. As I was putting away an item in her freezer I noticed that the freezer bag that contained six of my Sticky Toffee Muffins this morning now only contains two!!!! LOLOLOL. So I'm thinking it just wasn't the ice cream that made her full. :) SO very cool about your soap!

Glad your Walmart order was a good one Karen! Excellent that you got some rain and are expecting more as well. I don't blame you for throwing out the onions. Even if they were fine it's the thought of the Salmonella that just turns one off.

Well Jim and I left the house around 10:30 and didn't get back 'til 5:30. Long day. It's an hour's drive there. Jim managed to buy a used table saw so we picked that up. He wanted a few tools so he can do some jobs around the house but it's too heavy and too much of a PIA to bring his big tools with him from Ottawa. He's very happy. Between the little Mitre saw yesterday and the table saw today he's almost set.

We went to Walmart and bought a ton of stuff. Some groceries and other things like a proper garbage can for the kitchen and a nice non-stick fry pan, a couple of nice coffee mugs. I only have some odds and sods of Mom's dishes here plus some old one we brought from Ottawa. We stopped at the Farmer's Stand and I bought the most beautiful bunch of green onions I've ever seen. Picture perfect. A large jar of local honey for our coffee, more corn on the cob, pluots and two gorgeous loaves of home made bread. One sourdough with all sorts of seeds in it and one a braided white that will go lovely with soup.

Bought a couple hundred dollars worth of groceries at Safeway but the prices on their meat were horrific so I stopped in another lovely little grocery store in Emo and bought more at way better prices. Even scored some fresh Walleye fillets!!!!

Grabbed hamburgers at the McDonald's take-out for lunch. It was a busy day. Just bought a rotisserie chicken for our dinner tonight and we'll have potato salad and corn on the cob on the side.

Good evening and hello to all. Sounds like you are already enjoying your stay Janet. Hope you had a good shop in FF. Leftover boiled potatoes are great fried up with an egg! One of my fav brekkies! Love your weather racoon Linda! I think I have mentioned this before, but years and years ago I had two raccoons that came every night for dinner. Our property backed up to a very heavily wooded area. Not a preserve but was actually owned by a church. They were the cutest little things and I named them Lucy and Ethel. (I've always been a big I love Lucy fan, lol) Didn't predict weather for me but always loved their dinner. Was sad when we moved from that place but we did not sell the home and rented it to friends of ours. My friend kept up the nightly dinner for quite awhile but slowly, the raccoons finally failed to show up anymore. :( Ok, now I'm hungry for potato salad and must put that on the short list to make, lol!

    Tis Tuesday.................

Hope all enjoy the rest of this day and Sleep Sweet All................as always..................
