Wild Weather Wendsday

Good morning everyone! Wishing all a great day.

Weather here sure is crazy. As I mentioned before it could be raining on one side of the road and not the other. Caught a picture the other day of how it's possible, you can see one side is clear and the other is stormy.

At the dog groomer this morning, LD is getting his hair cut. Other than that nothing else planned, it's going to be a "take it somewhat easy day". I'll see if I can get the new computer set up with the software needed to transfer pics from my camera. Then look at the editing sites you all mentioned.
It's Bella's birthday today too! Caught her out in a field where she was dumped 5 years ago and have never regretted one day of making her part of the family. Happy Birthday little girl!

Happy Birthday to Bella, Linda! I am glad you are going to take it easy today. Cool pic! I have had that happen a few times being caught in the rain and it looks like a wall and you just walk out of it into the sun where everything is totally dry. Same thing it might rain in my backyard and not in my front yard. I have had Dragon Fruit before and it is very sweet. Apparently, it is full of antioxidants and other good things.
I hope your daughter is going to be O.K., Karen. Kidney stones are nasty things and I hope she doesn't lose that one kidney. Sending big healing prayers to her.
Michelle, In answer to your question about the Balsamic Pineapple Chicken I just winged it but I should post it as I have made it a few times now and it is very good. I just haven't written down the timing and the amounts etc.
I haven't really read all the posts from yesterday. I will have to go back and check them all out now.
    Wishing everyone a great day!

That's a cool picture Linda! Happy Birthday to Bella! It's so nice you came across her when she'd been abandoned. Good Luck to LD on his haircut today. :)

Hi Joce! What 'cha making for dinner tonight?

Laid back day here I think. For me anyways. Jim wants to work on his stone wall and his Dad's holding tank is being emptied at some point. I bought three salmon steaks yesterday so will grill those for dinner along with some spinach.

    Wishing everyone a nice day.

Don't know why the picture came out sideways ... I took it with my iPhone. I'm going to try holding the phone the other way and see what happens next time I take a pic and post. One of these days I'll figure out the rhyme and reason.

LD is feeling real good! We keep him cut in a short puppy cut and he feels good not having that extra fur. His stylist does a good job on him and knows him well now ... funny, it's just like that for us.

Is the Dragon fruit a mushy fruit inside like banana or crisp like apple Joce? How might you know if you are picking a good one? I'm waiting for Prickly Pears to come out. Never had one of them either but someone posted a margarita made with the juice on the "I made it" group and it looks enticing.

Salmon on the grill sounds delicious Janet! Do you prepare it a particular way or just season and grill? Costco had some nice looking wild caught Salmon that I wanted to buy but when I make it it never comes out as good as when you get it in a restaurant so I passed on it this time around.

And yes Joce, isn't it weird how you can see the wall of rain, see them here all the time.

Laurie always has that problem of the sideways pictures when she posts from her iphone as well. Since I don't own an iphone I don't have that problem. LOLOL. The Dragon Fruit I purchased was fairly crisp Linda. I have no idea how to choose a good one. I often do Cedar planked salmon but here at the cottage Jim's Dad has MINIMAL cooking things. I'll root through his spice box and see if I can jazz anything up. If not, maybe I can pick something up later at a store although that darn septic guy hasn't shown up yet to pump the holding tank so we're in limbo. Jim and I have been cooking a lot more Salmon lately than we used to and we're getting pretty good at it. :)

    Hi all.

No rain here. Would like some, believe me, but it all went South again.

Our daughter is due to be released tomorrow. She suggested using her car for comfort since the red truck and my car are going to be in the shop getting my oil changed and his truck check-engine light checked. She will be staying with us for a while. Moan. The Dr. said she would need to take hot soaks so will have to clear the back bathroom so she can use the tub. Mary will not appreciate it.

    Must go. See your later.

Why is it necessary for your daughter to have to stay with you for a while Karen? Does she have to be monitored or is she unable to do something? Hope she's feeling better. Did they get the stones out? You have a lot on your plate. Try take it easy.

She had major surgery to unblock the kidneys. One did not unblock. It may have to be removed. She has limited mobility. We hope it heals soon. Future surgeries will likely be needed.

Awwwww, I'm so sorry to hear that Karen. :( My Mom also suffers from kidney stones and problems and she has to travel three hours to a hospital in Winnipeg every six months to have a stent changed to keep her kidney open. The Dr. told us that if one day the stent quits doing its job, she'll be just fine with one kidney. That being said, she is 80. Sounds like she has a lot of stuff to deal with. Sending good wishes for the very best scenario. Has she had kidney problems in the past?

Karen, as if life doesn't give us enough already to deal with I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter is having so much problems with her kidneys. Keeping positive thoughts that the doctors help and somehow she gets past this. Stay strong and know that we are here to listen no matter what.

Hi. Thanks for the well wishes.
Daughter may have to wait till Friday so her doctor can adjust the pain melds .... they are not doing the job and she shakes when they go past the time. They may have to change melds. That would work better for us so all is well.
