Hottest fooods from around the world?

I used to think it could not get any hotter than Mexican but I was wrong. I ordered some Lamb Vindaloo from my favourite restaurant here in Montreal - Bombay Mahal - and I asked the lovely gentleman with the cruel sense of humour, "Is it really hot?" in a frightened I-am-white/please-go-easy-on-me sort of way to which he replied, ever so casually and innocently, "No, no. Not that hot." He lied. But I, a proud woman, refused to be made a fool of so I ate - lustily, even - and picked out 13 - THIRTEEN - dried red chillies and that was just in my small little order! I ate them all - it was a pride thing. Now I can't say that I am mad at the guy. Hell, once the hallucinations wore off I was rather grateful for the experience (my *ss later that night - not so much). It was hands down the hottest food I've ever eaten, beyond the Jamaican goat curry with the extra Scotch Bonnet sauce, the falafel with extra sambal, any and all habanero sauces... beyond anything, really. It was a Haley Joel Osmond experience - I saw dead people. But I fell in love - truly, madly, deeply - with all things curry. Anyone else have an out-of-body experience via spicy food?
