Housewarming

I'll be moving soon into a new home, in a brand new neighborhood (to me), and would like to do a housewarming as soon as my stuff is unpacked. I'm interested in what kinds of foods are served at such an "open house" kind of party? I'm in the south, so there HAS to be Iced Tea!

I think finger foods that are "easy" to eat, and easy to serve room temperature are great for the type of party where guests flow in and out.

I have marinated a pork tenderloin, then grilled it early the day of the party. Sliced fairly thin, diagonally, and placed on a tray with sour dough rolls, and had homemade or semi-homemade condiments in cute dishes beside it (honey-hustard, bbq, green goddess), and everyone can make a little sandwich.

My sister is famous for cold shrimp. She has two large plastic bowls shaped like a shell, and fills them with ice, then lays large, romaine lettuce leaves on the ice, and fills the lettuce with shrimp.

Great ideas, Sparow! And thanks for the serving instructions as well. I'll use both of these ideas.
