After a piece of information listed under "places posted" and understanding a bit more about this site now, thanks to that advice, before you post a review, please look to see if the city it is in is already listed in the subject line. If so, please post the individual review under that subject city thread. If not, please add the city name to the subject and then add the review in that thread. Thanks!

Ate here for the first time last weekend - close to Wrigley Field on Wilson street, just north of Montrose and west of Ashland...small place, with the grandma literally cooking from scratch in the kitchen. Delicious, authentic Cuban food (our daughter has eaten there several times). I ordered the Cuban sandwich on thier cuban sweet bread, but they were out so I had to order the "famous" Cuban served on grilled French - think I would have liked the one on their sweet bread better and will try to order that next time, though this one was certainly very tasty with the traditional roasted pork and ham slices. Erin had the most amazing skirt steak sandwich served with lettuce and tomato and garlic mayo, served between 2 fried plantains. I had an empanada that my nephew had raved so about - filled with guave and chedder...fantastic! John had the appetizer platter with the yuka ball, chicken and pork croquettes, and meat empanada with a spicy dipping sauce. Prices were unbelievably inexpenseive ($30 for the 3 of us) and it has the added bonus of BYOB, with NO corkage fee, so you can dine very inexpensively without adding the high cost of bottles of wine from the restaurant. Do try it if you're ever in the area - the black beans and rice were delish, too!

This restaurant was shown to me by my roommate Bob and the rare find was sitting there for years waiting for me to go inside of it! Tim the manager is a great guy and you'll see him waiting on the tables in the small but cozy establishment.
He and his wife run the place and they have several kinds of lasagna, manicotti, an awesome Penne Pasta Pesto with Chicken Breast & pine nuts-like I make at home....
They feature some amazing combination dishes that you could very easily split between two people.
The dinners come with an amazing flatbread that is similar to a focaccia covered with mozzarella, garlic and oregano. They simply call it "Garlic bread" but it is way more than that.
They feature over 100 kinds of beers and wines of all types from all over the world, and people are seen coming in with family or friends just to get a good mug of ale or glass of wine. (I don't drink but I can appreciate them anyhow.)
They also feature some of the best pizza made on a crust similar to the Garlic Bread they serve...and it is amazing with really quality ingedients and awesome flavors.
There is so much to be included in a description of this place that I'm not sure what else to mention other than it is the best Italian food I've ever had in a restaurant other than what I make myself...and a true find in Garden Grove-other than a dinner at my place! :-)
