My Dad's Slaw

  When I was growing up, this was just slaw. I thought restaurants, schools, my friends' parents, etc. just didn't know how to make it! LOL This has been at every family gathering my entire life, and with certain meals, too. Everyone loves it. My Dad is still the slaw maker at their house. He will be 71 this year, and having several health issues, along with being diagnosed with a slow pre-cancer that they are not yet treating, just watching. So I am beginning to realize that he is not going to be here to make the slaw forever.

  My dad cooked, but didnt have any special recipes. He was a plain man.He loved home-cooking.But something sweet and a good cup of coffee would bring a smile on his face.
