Honey Help

I have a large amount of honey that has crystallized. I know I can "mel" in the microwave, but I just want it gone. Does anyone have any recipes that call for a large amount of honey?

Here are 4 but if you do a Recipe search by Ingredient, you will find many more.

    You can do that by:
    Click on RECIPES
    Click on SEARCH
Click on "By Ingredients What's in your pantry?"
    Type HONEY in the box
    Then click on GRUB

    Hope this helped, Breezy

I would not recommend microwaving crystallized honey. Microwaves are too uneven.

If you have an automatic dish washer, I recommend putting the jar of honey on the top rack and running it through a complete cycle. Make sure the lid is on tightly first. This does wonders. The jar gets cleaned and the heat from the wash/dry phases reduce it to a liquid state. I've used this method to reconstitute quart jars of honey.

You can also use hot water bath to bring it back to a consistent state. But but this way takes longer. You bring a large sauce pan of water to a boil, remove it from the heat and put the jar of honey it. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, stir the honey if you can, and let it sit longer. You might need to heat the water up again. Like I said, this method takes time.

I like the dishwasher method method myself.

I will be posting some honey recipes soon.

    SIncerely,
