Hey guys... I'm out in Oshawa and am always looking for things like konjac, agar and shirataki noodles that aren't in Markham! I'd like to know if there's anything closer to me... if the store in pickering any good? I think it's called Tap Phong?

This is one of my favorite places - it is an Asian supermarket and I know there are 2 - one in Mississauga and one in Promenade Mall. The fish and seafood area is amazing!

Hi Jo_Jo! I once lived in Pickering but no longer do. We also lived in Markham at one time as well and I am surprised that you cannot find those items in any of the Asian grocery stores. My husband and I often shop at a large grocery store on Kennedy Road, not far from Markham. In fact, it's probably on the border of Markham. I will get the name and address for you if you'd like. The produce there is excellent and they have a wonderful selection of everything else. There are also many grocery stores either on Sheppard of just off of Sheppard Avenue.
