I have just been informed that we are going to have Thanksgiving at my nephew's new house this year. My sister and I are going to do the cooking and my nephew will get to do the cleaning. LOL Now this sister I am speaking of always tries to out do any one who is around her on anything she does. Anything that any one else does is as good as hers to hear her tell it.I am not talking about Catwoman, she has to go to her in-law's house. She will be doing the turkey which is fine with me as I have trouble handling something that big now. I am not going to have any problems picking out desserts but I need something to do with green beans, Not a casserole as she will be doing her green bean casserole that no one but her and her hubby likes.I need another side or two. Can ya'll help me please? I am putting this on a couple or so groups as I am desperate. LOL

Had the taste of stuffing you would pull out of the bird but with potatoes. Clipped it out of a newspaper in Phoenix, Arizona. Kept it for a couple of years then gave it to someone who kept bugging me for the recipe, so I don't have the recipe to give you. But some searches on the 'net might yield results. It was great to watch peoples faces when they were expecting a potato taste and wound up with a stuffing flavor.

I agree with Shirley...scalloped corn is excellent!! For something different, check out my Sweet Potato Souffle recipe. It's easy and my family loves it! It's a staple at our Thanksgiving dinners. Also, it's not green beans, but my Janice's Beans recipe is different and tasty. Like I said, I'm a quick and easy kinda cook!!! Keep us posted on "As Gem's World Turns"!! ;)
