Jeanne didn't leave NY till 10PM. Guess she couldn't leave her friends. Don't know what time she got here but is here safely and sleeping. Love the way she parked the truck,it's almost in the middle of the street. LOL! Long worrisome day but over. Thanks for the support. You are all the best.
Happy Halloween! We are having pat2me's slow cook savory stuffed chicken breast tonight with either mashed potatoes or polenta. Haven't decided yet.

Glad she made it safe and sound, Pat. That chicken sounds good, I'll have to c heck it out. Is it posted to the group?
Hope all athe kids have fun tonight, and that Karma had a good bday! Saw on fb that Jess had fun at the dance!!
Gonna make a pot of Santa Fe soup today, then get ready to go out with the girls. Bought some wash out purple hair dye, and gonna spike my hair up and spray some purple on it, and dress really "butch" - easy and didn't break the bank. LOL

Kids cause wrinkles and gray hair, believe me! Glad Karma had a great birthday. Have a great day!

Took mother to the hospital Wednesday to get a couple pictures of her foot made. Hospital is where sick people go and I'm on my third day of any incubation period if I picked something up. Hit the Zicam first thing right after the funny cough. About the only time I get sick is when I'm ferrying her to and from there.
Anybody get pranked by the little devils running around on all-hallows eve?
I'm thinking country fried potatoes and/or a salad today.
knoxcop 1 month, 2 weeks ago said: RE: Tricks not Treats Saturday! Gah! Cleaning up the little old house real good so TBO's buddy can come to spend the night tonight. Since he's 16 this year, there won't be any trick-or-treating for him. He and his buddy are going with some other fellows to see the fright-night festival scare flicks at the theatre--then going out to grab food.
Before they go, however---they have requested PETROs here at the house...chili, fritos, sour cream, cheese---all piled into a bowl. Easy squeezy and a yumfest to boot.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!!! --Kn0x--
justjakesmom 1 month, 2 weeks ago said: RE: Tricks not Treats Saturday! Well it finally quit raining - woke up to the darkest morning in a long time. Then it poured like crazy! I ended up doing half the Costco pizza last night - will probably have the other half on Sunday. Filet mignons tonight, not sure what with, did see a corn dish in my latest Cuisine at Home mag that looked really good. Glad Jeanne made it in safe, Pat. Dinner sounds good too, have to go check that out! Lori, have fun, sounds like a blast - take pics! Chili sounds great M2. Hope you're not getting sick, Points. Judy, Petros sounds good and easy! Well I'm bound to lose weight this way, he's got me running up and down 14 flights of stairs turning on and off the breaker cuz he's having a hard time finding out why the wiring is right on the new fan. I think I'm up to 12 times already. But this last one, he thinks he's discovered the problem. So just one more run to turn it back on.....
mrtnzangel8 1 month, 2 weeks ago said: RE: Tricks not Treats Saturday! I absolutely love Halloween being on a Saturday! No big rush to eat dinner and get costumes together after school......*sigh*. It's a good day. :)
Had a good time making Karma the star last night. Her and Cic are playing with the play-doh and I am getting ready to carve a pumpkin. The new Tinkerbell movie is freaking adorable! Gonna follow the lead and make up a big pot of chili. There is leftover spaghetti for those who don't like it.
I'm glad your kiddo is home safe, Pat. That parking job looks about like something I would do. Of course I would be terrified to drive that big truck anyway... Have fun with your girls Laurie! I get the night off this year and will stay home and pass out candy. Lori, you have fun, too. Watch out for the weirdos. M2, have fun with your holiday. I hope little Mason is doing better... Points, you mean you are not one of those people that like to sit on their porch and scare the crap outta the kiddos? I really would have guessed you as one. ;-P Judy, my teen says she will never stop trick or treating...lol HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA! Put your feet up and enjoy it!
Happy Halloween Everyone!

Happy Birthday Donna! Send help with the wiring for our hallway light.....it has conked out and I miss the light. Stepped on a tennis ball this a.m. and twisted my ankle badly. Been hobbling all day.
Pat, love the picture of the truck parking and your dinner sounds great. I know you are relieved.
Have fun with the kids, Laurie and Ang! You too, M2. Hope Mason is better today.
Get some rest, --Kn0x--you kill me. You are one busy lady. Love frito pie.
Stay well, Points. No pranking the youngsters!
No decorations out, no lights on here, I'm hiding out in the back bedroom with the ankle elevated. Have some butternut soup sitting in the frig, in case I get hungry later. Made it with roasted pears, butternut, chicken stock, onions and a pinch of curry and a bit of evaporated milk to smooth it out. Have some pumpernickel croutons to top it off.
Kid went to work as a "dark Fairy" with black feather wings and curls and swirls drawn around her eyes. She took in a big Kitty Litter Cake for the kitchen and wait staff. Can't wait to hear how the SeaHags Halloween party turns out.
pointsevenout 1 month, 2 weeks ago said: RE: Tricks not Treats Saturday! We're way out in the country. Kids would have to have the legs of Atlas to go door to door to collect any treats of consequence. Besides, when I moved in with mother, she saw my boxes of horrific Halloween decorations and burned them one day while I was gone. She doesn't do Halloween or Thanksgiving or Christmas or New Years or any of the major holidays. Keeps reminding me every year not to make a turkey.
Finished off the focaccia bread today with the rest of the BLT mix left over from the burritos. Might try to make some pizza dough. It should be similar to focaccia dough. Don't be mad, but I bought a jar of Prego the other day instead of making pizza sauce from scratch because of lack of ingredients and will of mind to do it from scratch. I have four different cheeses so it will have to be a cheese pizza.

Donna, tell that man it's your birthday!!!!!....LOL
Points, feel better and don't feel guilty about using jarred sauce....You're not the only one in this group that does....I've been known to doctor up a jar or 2..I even make hamburg helper when the kids are here sometimes...They love the crap.
TIna, I'm with you in that last year Les went nuts decorating and not a trick or treater all night.....Not this year, lights are out and all I put out was my Halloween flag.
Laurie, how's your neice doing?
Today was horrid....Left the house at 8:30 this morning to get 2 new tires for the Jeep and get it aligned.....$700. later and not home till 6....Long story and good salesman...Les just can't say no!!!!......So, needless to say, supper tonight is leftovers.
