Set your clocks back Sunday
Enjoy the extra hour of sleep everyone! Hope ya'll got treats and no tricks yesterday.

Putting a pot of spaghetti sauce together to sit in the crock pot. Will make good leftover lunches for the week. (And it started with a doctored jar of Prego). NO worries.

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Good moring Tina and all!

Had all of 5 trick or treaters yesterday. Lots of candy left!

Today will be roast beef, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts with bacon. Football will be watched and so will the World Series!

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Trying out a new focaccia recipe. Going to try to convert it into a cheese pizza. And I have my jar of Prego out, not doctored, straight up garlic and herb. Might try for some spaghetti too but will need a butter sauce from somewhere.

It's been two weeks now and we haven't seen hide nor hair of the cat. I think he's officially gone. Time to start getting rid of the reminders.

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Get to sleep an extra hour and what happens here.....we're both up before the birds....UGH!!

Trying to not shop this week because we're going away for a long weekend so it's whatever I have around for the week...Gonna make meatloaf, mashed and gravy for supper.

Sorry about your cat, Points....2 weeks is a long time.

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Oh, Points! Poor old kitty. Hope he comes back in good fashion after a bit and maybe he's just been out "catting around." Pun intended.

We didn't have many T-O-T'rs either---maybe eight or nine? It just doesn't pay to buy a lot of candy here---we would only end up eating it ourselves, not good.

Had two teenagers to deal with last night---TBO had his good friend over to spend the night. They were so quiet, we hardly knew they were here! They went out last night to the frightfest movies downtown, came back, ate and chilled for a while. His pal ended up in bed by MIDNIGHT---didn't feel well. TBO ended up on the couch and they were both out by 1:00 a.m.

The boys GOT THEMSELVES UP this morning and headed out to TBO's church. (We don't do church any longer---got burned---I'll never darken the doors of a church again, but we let TBO make his own journey...) They ate cold cereal, instant bacon and headed out. HIS BUDDY EVEN MADE UP THE BED!!!!

Roast beef in the crockpot today. Heading over to Cosby to the apple orchards for more cider! Woot!

I am a very very lucky mom. This I know. Happy Sunday, y'all!!

Sorry about your kitty Points!!

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
OH WOW!! The SUN is shining in East TN today!! A bright sunny day! I actually don't remember the last time we had one of those! We actually saw BOTH sides of a rainbow driving to Lenoir City last night!)

Making my grocery list and looking for inspiration...don't have a clue what to buy or cook today!

Had fun with the girls last night, we ended up coming back here...there were all of about 8 or 9 people at Calhoun's...they even took the halloween costume contest sign down (lol, we thought that one of us in our half-baked costumes had that win secured, considering the only others in costume were the staff...lol).

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Made some No-knead focaccia and added pizza sauce and cheese to make a deep dish pizza. It was a little thicker than normal deep dish pizza but still very good.

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Good morning all (afternoon to you all) Yes Tina, I enjoyed that extra hour very much!
We had a quiet night too, Pat, I think the rain had something to do with it. Your dinner sounds good!
I love cheesy focaccia, Points. Sorry again about the cat.
Where ya going Wynne, Rob Thomas? Meatloaf, taters and gravy sound great, too!
You are a very lucky Mom, Judy!
The sun is trying to shine here too, Lori. Glad you had a good time last night. So where's the pics?

I'm still in the lounging mode, REALLY lovin' the extra hour. Our filets last night were stinkin' perfect! If I say so myself! LOL Had stuffed twice-baked potatoes with 'em. Cheese, sour cream, green onions, garlic, the works - fantastic! And a good bottle of red. Got to go to lunch at Bobby's Hawaiian Cafe yesterday -been wanting to go there. It was featured on Guy's DDD once - they had his review and pics up in the restaurant - waitress met him and said he's just like he appears on TV and can eat like he's got a hollow leg. She said he was eating even when they were taking a film break.
We're doing the other half of the very large pepperoni pizza from Costco tonight - easy peasy!

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
Knox thats the kind of sleepover friend I like. Rachel has a few quiet friends and every time she asks for a sleepover I say yes if its one of them.
We trick or treated for over 2 hours yesterday. made my leftover halloween candy cookies today with Becca. So good but I need to stop eating them.
We had an early dinner because I had office time today. Chicken cutlets and mashed potatos.
I saw a Tru hollywood type story on Guy from DDD & they said they have to take the food away from him when the camera stops rolling between takes because he would just keep eating and he does so many a day. I think that is why when you watch the show you see him sneaking food and stuffing as much in his mouth as possible (before the camera crew takes it from him)
They also said he learned to cook because he grew up in a vegatarian family that practiced the Raw food type diet. I think I would cook for myself too!

RE: Set your clocks back Sunday
LaurieG---I (love, love love!) Guy Fieri...he's gained some weight over the last few years, but not like you'd think he would on a show like that, ha! I am here to tell you---if I was the host of that show---I would easily weigh 500 pounds. They'd have to haul me around in a van--I couldn't fit in the old car, LOLOLOL!

Yes, it's so nice to see young boys these days be respectful and kind. Both he and his brother (TBO's pals I mean) are the kind of kids that whenever they see you out in public--school or otherwise---they run up to me and hug me. Not ashamed or embarrassed at all. I do love those boys and I've told their parents MANY times what wonderful boys they have...

Such a great day. Roast is about ready and I'm going to do some rice to go with. Yumfest at my house!

My nephews were always good to me in that way and a lot of their friends were too. I remember a few years ago when life was not so great and Marcus' friend would always make a point to stop by and just say, "Hi, how you doin?" Means a lot to me even now. He's grown up with kids of his own...I know he is a good husband and a great father. :)

Been taking it easy most of the day, piddling around in the kitchen and watched Thelma and Louise, love that movie. Made some bacon dip and deviled eggs, leftover chili warm in the crock all day and now gonna put some oven fried pork chops with cheesy potatoes and cabbage and carrots in the oven.

Had a lot of fun yesterday and sad that Halloween is over. I know, I'm worse than the kids...lol

Now I get to look forward to my birthday dinner in a couple of weeks...yes, I am already checking menus online. ;-P
